Patrizia Giacomini
Patrizia Giacomini was born in Ascoli Piceno on March 28th 1974; she then graduated in Publicity art in 1993, at the “O. Licini” art institute of Ascoli Picen; she moved to Rome to attend the Academy of Fine Arts Scenography section; thus began an artistic and life path bound to the Roman scenario, in which different artistic realities coexist. n this context she manages to express herself as an actress and stage decorator. Patrizia the starts a journey, collaborating as a volunteer for social activities related to homeless people and here, she lives an intense existential search, which gets her to make choices motivated by a spirituality which is nourished by sacred texts.
Back in Ascoli Piceno, she began working as an interior decorator, acquiring new titles: Specialization in painting, obtained in 2004 at the Academy of Fine Arts of Terni; Technician of restoration and gilding of antique furniture in 2007; Technician of artistic processing in 2009; Academic Diploma of first level in decoration, at the Academy of Fine Arts of Macerata in 2016.. This last experience will change her expressive language, adhering to the stylistic features and dictates of contemporary art. Her latest works are indeed inspired by neo-conceptualism, which highlights the contradictions of postmodern society and globalization.
Moreover the artist pays particular attention to the denunciation of violence against women, using languages and expressive techniques that account for her creative versatility and deep human sensitivity.
