Alejandro Pereyra
Versatile artist of Argentinian origin and Italian by adoption, Alejandro Pereyra has developed in the last years a passion for papier collé technique, collage that predict the combination of paper pieces by publicity journals, periodic or manifests by all the world.
Alejandro orders forms, colours and spaces to return an image, expertly and with expressive efficacy. Rather from the manifests decollages of memory, Alejandro borrows his expressive tool from the vanguardist and historical lesson of George Braque papier collè, defined as the accumulation of journal clippings and other paper labels of the German Dadaist Kurt Schwitters.
Without cutting the umbilical cord eith the figurative tradition he chooses the reuse of paper material, some magazines waste dated by the 20’s or some recent periods and then ruined manifests by rainy days or tickets, brochure or flyers, taken, as the Duchamp readymade, in Italy but in international geographic dislocation too.
